Hi! I’m an applied economist convinced of the value of an interdisciplinary approach. I'm only interested in research directly relevant to the real world, especially from a policy perspective.
Curiosity has brought me in various directions related mostly to the law and economics analysis of intellectual property rights and innovation, telecommunications & media economics, digital economics, as well as competition and regulation policy.
On these topics, I have carried out academic research as well as research for the European Commission, OECD, AGCOM, the Italian Ministry of Finance, and IRG.
I also have a strong interest in economics education, as I believe there is much that can be done to make the teaching of economics more interesting and fulfilling for students.
I happily joined UChieti-Pescara, in my beloved Abruzzo, after holding positions at the University of Siena and at the University of Paris X Nanterre.
I’m involved (though less than I would love to) in the activities of the Forum Disuguaglianze e Diversità – a think tank focusing on many aspects of inequality.
My work has been published on academic journals such as the Cambridge Journal of Economics, the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, Industrial and Corporate Change and Economics of Innovation and New Technologies.
I live in Rome with my husband Marco and my son Giovanni, who provide me with love and inspiration!
